We're not that different, you and me.

Being vegan in a non-vegan world can sometimes feel isolating, fearful, and completely exhausting. Does the thought of institutionalized animal exploitation prompt you to seek therapy for depression, anxiety, relationship issues and sometimes, trauma? Are the responses of family and friends dismissive of you and/or the issue: i.e. “there are more important things to worry about”, “you’re being way too sensitive”, or “get a life!’?” Do you want to feel understood by someone who really gets it? You may trust a vegan therapist more than a non-vegan therapist.


Everyone experiences bouts of anxiety and depression; however, the choice to become an ethical and environmental vegan intensifies the issues. This is not even to mention the decision to exercise your right to be a voice for the voiceless through some manner of animal rights activism. I understand what it means to be surrounded by people who have yet to make the connection.
No doubt you have had the courage to ask hard questions like "how do I heal from what's missing in my personal relationships?" and "How do I help others better understand me?" Together, we will uncover communication and relationship patterns, learn how to use the mind and body to more effectively manage anxiety and depression; and many of your other concerns will get the attention they deserve.

Of course, your therapist doesn't have to share everything in common with you — but when it comes to your core values of animal rights, sustainability, wellness, and compassion for all sentient creatures, it can be hard to work in a deep way with someone who hasn't made the connection with what's happening and humanity's imperative to act. That's where I come in.
